In a thrilling Thursda night that also included the retention of the club's CF Brandon Nimmo. The Mets signed All-Star right-handed pitcher David Robertson to a one-year $10M contract. This massive addition helps fill a hole in their bullpen. Robertson has the potential to be a solid 8th inning man to segway to Edwin Díaz. Plus, he has a history of closing so on those days Díaz needs rest, or pitches in a high-leverage 8th inning, Robertson is more than formitable to get the job done.
